Phantom 2040, super human cyber squad and didi's nonstop nonsense

Its really been sometime since I blogged now, I guess since I am finally back home and I can sit down and write some nonsense now...I spent the weekend watching Jodha Akbar all over again..Needless to say..it was as good as it was the first time I watched it..I love the way the movie is so long yet not at all lengthy and boring... I wish to dedicate this post to few of my favourite tv serials which I used to watch when I was younger..I still remember these with so much of nostalgia..Here are a few which I really want to blog about: Phantom 2040 My all time favourite animation series, the futuristic phantom riding upon his hypercycle in the futuristic capitalist world run by Maximum corporation..I used love the science fiction and the technology back then and I love it still..I really used to love the way he had his voice activated arms and vehicles, the way cars flew and humans were bionically enhanced..Read more about it here Super Human Cyber Squad: It was the days of DD2 metro and I still remember this show used to be telecast from 5-00 pm to 5:30 pm on thursdays..I guess it is one show which actually got me really interested with technology..Now come to think of it, it was a mere pulp fiction tv sitcom..but then I really used to wait every day for thursday to come..My favourite character was Malcolm and Kilokawn..I especially loved Malcolm's all black clothes which actually left a deep impact on my real life dressing sense..I guess thats when I decided I would definitely work with technology for sure..Read more about it here... Didi's nonstop nonsense: This was a great comedy show which I used to even watch repeat telecasts of...I really loved the antics of dieter hallervorden...I still would say that he was miles ahead of silly Mr. bean..Read more about the show here ...I actually couldn't find much more about the show...but then I can actually say that it is one of the very rare comedy shows I have ever liked..Do tell me if you can find more info on this subject.. I'll update this post with a few more shows...until then, what are your favourite shows...do leave ur comments... Robotic technology to hunt people

Sounds like a sci-fi flick? Well it could be closer to reality than you think. Military applications for robotics is one of the fastest progressing technology areas and more and more applications are being developed each day. Though we would not be having "robocop" anytime soon, we could soon be having automated weapons which think and analyse "threats" and eliminate them as required. Which means basically, automated search and destroy weaponry. These weapons are already here. With the developments in more and more powerful chips and more compact technology available from even the shop around the corner, it does not seem all that surprising. Professor Noel Sharkey, well known for his role in BBC’s Robot Wars, says he is scared by the pace at which armed forces across the world, especially in the United States, are adopting robot weapons and have done little to create international laws or an ethical code on their use.

“In case of robot weapons, it is the robot which decides ‘who to kill’, ‘where to kill’ and ‘when to kill’. This is treading on a danger path,”
Which would really mean artificial intelligence is taking over faster than we think. The US for instance is set to spend $4 billion by 2010 and $24 billion by 2013 on developing unmanned fully autonomous military robots. The US is also testing its latest addition to its air fleet called the Reaper, a pack of unmanned aeroplanes which talk to each other and decide which target to kill and it also successfully tested another unmanned fully autonomous land vehicle named the Crusher, which is a 7-tonne strong truck fitted with guns and bombs. So then the only thing left to do is for me to sign off this post by saying "Asta Lavista, baby"
